Day 9 - 18/3/2012 - Hong Kong to Mission Hills, Shenzhen

Up early, breakfast and checked out of hotel. Driver and people mover arrived promptly at 7:45am to take us into China. Crossed over the border, quite daunting and a little scary. They gave me a double look as had dark hair on passport photo, blonde now!
Our room
Arrived safely at Mission Hills. Too early for check in but we knew that, arriving early to play an extra round of golf!. Had a nice coffee in foyer bar area then we were given a tour of the complex by one of the customer service staff. Our rooms were ready so we headed upstairs to our massive and very impressive rooms. You could fit two of our Hong Kong rooms into this one. Awesome views down the 18th hole of the Olazabal Course, absolutely beautiful.

Mission Hills
Headed down to the golf reception and then caddy master. Our clubs and caddies were ready and waiting, there are 3000 caddies who work here across the 12 Championship Golf Courses.
We played Olazabel Course today. It was undergoing some annual repairs and there were six temporary greens. We did know this before hand and were given the choice to play another course but decided this one was worth it - and it was!!
Amazing bunkers
Sean, Jane & Mike
Great course, amazing bunkering, wonderful caddies - we want to being them home with us. Sean played really well, Mike and I were neck to neck coming into the last where he managed a great par to beat me. I did however have a birdie 2/4 on the 8th and Sean also had 2 birdies.
Mike keeping cool!!
Zou (Jane), Ne (Mike), Li (Sean)
Had a nice drink in the bar afterwards. Was a very hot and humid day so we were all a bit weary afterwards. A nice shower then dinner in the World Kitchen Restaurant was a great way to finish off a lovely day.
Amazing finishing holes
