Day 2 - 11/3/2012 - Macau

Had a great sleep, woke about 8am. Weather cool and overcast, very typical for here. Did wear a coat but did not feel cold at all during the day.
Had a nice buffet breakfast in the hotel dining room then headed off in the shuttle bus to the older area of Macau, over a long bridge which joins the two islands.
MGM Casino - Macau

Inside MGM
We started at the MGM Casino, just like Las Vegas with the casinos all having their own themes and interesting areas inside.
Grand Lisboa Casino
Next we went to the grand Lisboa Casino, it is the most amazingly shaped building.
St Pauls Cathederal & shops
Then we headed to Senota Square which is the old Portuguese part. Lots of shops every where but holding off shopping until later in the week!

Ruins of St Paul's
Walked up to the ruins of St Paul's Cathedral, generally played tourist which was fun.

Tree of Fortune
Headed back via Wynn Casino, saw the water show out front earlier (like the one at Bellagio), also watched the Tree of Fortune show, lights and special effects, then everyone started throwing coins at the tree for good luck - I could see an accident in the making but all was safe :-)

Water show at Wynn

Back to City of Dreams then over to the Venetian. It is 3 times bigger than the one in Vegas, absolutely massive. We get a great view of it from our hotel window.

Gondola at the Venetian

Back for a shower and change then dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe before seeing the show House of Dancing Water, again drawing comparisons with Vegas, it was very much like O, the Cirque show we saw last year at Bellagio. Still very enjoyable.
The Venetian
Time for bed, playing golf tomorrow.
