Day 7 -16/3/2012 - Hong Kong

Stanley Markets
Met for breakfast in lounge at 8:30am. Walked to Jordan MTR station and caught train to Central (on Hong Kong Island). Went to Exchange and caught bus to Stanley.
Nice drive up and around the mountain, great to sit up the front of the double decker bus going around such tight corners.

Wandered through Stanley markets, very different style of clothing than other markets here, geared more for the older shopper ie: me!!!
Stanley Plaza
Looks good - was not though!
Stopped at the pub and had a drink then went to the Plaza area. Found a restaurant for lunch called Rocksalt. Supposed to be Australian cuisine. Mike and I ordered the seafood plate and it was very disappointing which was a shame - I shall submit a Trip Advisor review later!! Sean had fish & chips which looked pretty good.
Jumped on a bus to Tsim Sha Tsui which is where we wanted to go to watch the Rugby. It went the long way around through Aberdeen and then we got stuck in a traffic jam as school came out. Arrived at Delaney's for the second half of the Chiefs v. Brumbies game which was good. Walked back to hotel for shower and change.
Repulse Bay
Met up for cocktail hour then headed over to Temple Street markets. I bought a nice Louis Vuitton handbag from behind a stall at the back of the market!! They can't sell them out in the open so you have to follow them to their "stash" - all good fun :-)
Had dinner at one of the market stalls, really nice fresh calamari, much nicer food than lunch!! Wandered around the rest of the market then headed back to hotel for a coffee before bed.
Lovely day. 24 degrees, plenty of blue sky, perfect weather. More sightseeing tomorrow :-))
